The yearly advert

New Enhanced Business adverts cost £49 per year and renew yearly until cancelled. The subscription price is shown again at checkout. Basic directory inclusion remains free and does not require a subscription.

The service is for businesses advertising an Oxford business or service. You must be authorised to represent the business and supply accurate details.

What is included

Your approved business photo, description and website or booking link appear in the directory with an advertisement label. Featured businesses appear first, Enhanced businesses follow, then free listings in the relevant directory results. Each position is shared with other businesses on that plan and is not exclusive.

Your workspace shows recorded visits to your business page and website clicks from that page, when analytics is available. Reporting covers visitors who allow analytics, includes existing free-listing traffic and excludes website clicks made directly from directory cards. These figures are not unique people, enquiries or confirmed bookings. We do not guarantee any number of visitors, clicks, enquiries or sales.

Approval and publication

Submit your advert for review before paying. Approval does not charge you. For paid placement, return to your workspace after approval and choose to subscribe through Stripe. Your paid advert is activated after payment is confirmed. If activation fails, contact us so we can put it right or refund the undelivered service.

You can submit changes at any time. Your last approved advert remains visible while changes are reviewed, while your paid subscription or complimentary placement is active. Paid placement does not buy an editorial recommendation or influence editorial reviews.

Only upload photographs and text you own or have permission to use. By submitting them, you permit Oxford City Guide to display, resize and format them for your listing and advert. We may reject inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or unsuitable material and remove adverts where necessary.

Complimentary placements

We may grant a business a complimentary Featured placement. A complimentary placement has no subscription fee and does not create a Stripe subscription. It remains available while the grant is active; we may end the grant and will not start charging you automatically. Any later paid subscription requires you to confirm it separately at checkout.

Existing monthly subscriptions

Businesses already subscribed to Featured Business at £49 per month keep their monthly billing and Featured placement unless they cancel or payment fails. The monthly plan is no longer available for new subscriptions. Existing subscribers can still manage or cancel their subscription in their dashboard.

Billing and cancellation

Stripe handles payment details, invoices and subscription management. You can update your payment method, access billing documents and cancel renewal from your workspace. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your advert remains eligible to appear until the end of the period already paid for. There is no minimum term beyond the selected billing period.

If a renewal is unpaid, paid visibility ends when the paid period expires. Cancellation does not delete your free directory listing. A new subscription requires your explicit checkout confirmation.

We do not normally refund an unused part of a paid period when you choose to cancel. If we cannot provide the paid placement or remove it for reasons unrelated to a breach of these terms, contact us for an appropriate refund for the undelivered service. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
